Protesters match to Customs office in Lagos over the killing of a motorcyclist

Some residents in Lagos state today staged a protest at the Custom's office on Moboloaji Bank Anthony way, Ikeja, over the death of a motorcyclist, Omotosho Zaheed who was allegedly killed by some customs officers at Mosalasi bus stop, Alagbado, Lagos State last week Thursday.


According to the protesters, the officers had on the day of the incident, intercepted a trailer load of bags of rice believed to have been smuggled into the country. Hoodlums in the area tried to stopped the officers from going away with the bags of rice.

In the process, the officers called for reinforcement who came in and started shooting sporadically. One of the bullets ripped through Zaheed's back, killing him on the spot
