Today's Askvogue gist : Social media and Fake life
Facebook, Instagram and twitter has become the new trend of our everyday life, is so sad that if we are out of subscription , it just seems like we aren't complete.
Once i asked a very close friend , when we would be meeting her new boo, and she simply replied No, stating that there was no point in seeing him only for them to break up and we would still prepare to meet the next person.
life on social media is very different from what out daily life is like, On social media the ladies hide their life's struggles with Make up and fashionable cloths , and the Men their struggles with posing in a car or snapping with friends at a drink outlet.
Well our gist on this topic starts with a question?
How many of us have seen a friend's picture on instagram or facebook and we simply feel like life isn't fair to us, but when we see that friend physically she looks totally different.........
The fact is that social media has simply moved us from it's purpose which is simply to communicate and above all keep in touch with old friends to dressing up, to post our pictures on it like is a fashion tour.
The most alarming part and new trend now on social media, is the relationship craze whereby people share pictures of their spouse or partner and write all the wonderful things about them and their relationship , People seeing this photo's would simply feel such persons relationship is better than their's or that being single means you are cursed. Well the truth is, not all which glitters is gold, Some of us share pictures of our lives to impress people on social media who don't give a damn about us, and in the real relationship you are passing through hell.
Whenever we have forums like this, we encourage people to share their opinions but most importantly let's learn to enjoy our lives and quit the social media envy and display of 80% fake life. The most annoying aspect is when people post pictures of themselves in a hospital saying critically sick pray for me. The truth is if you were critically sick you won't know where your phone is.
Please share with your friends
